On September 20, 2025, NIO officially launched the all-new 2026 ES8 at NIO Day 2025 in Hangzhou, positioning it as a flagship all-scenario technology SUV. The new model offers three configurations: a six-seater and a seven-seater, with a price ranging from RMB 406,800 to 446,800. With the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, the starting price drops to RMB 298,800. As the first model to embody the brand's third-generation product design philosophy, "Design for Success," the new ES8 will begin deliveries nationwide on September 21.

Thanks to a 41° front wheel steering angle and an automatic intelligent agile turning function, the minimum turning radius is only 5.7m. Li Bin stated that this means a larger vehicle than the BMW X7 has a smaller turning radius than the X3.
The new model debuts an intelligent wet road mode, including three scenarios: high-speed wet road mode, wet road surface control, and intelligent speed control on epoxy flooring. It can intelligently sense road conditions to enhance stability on slippery roads. The vehicle also supports automatic leveling on inclines.
