On November 7th, SGMW officially announced that its new MPV model—the 2025 Wuling Xingguang 730—has received over 20,000 pre-orders and will be officially launched on November 12th. The Xingguang 730 gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions share a similar front-end design, featuring a large spindle-shaped blacked-out grille with a honeycomb structure for a strong visual impact. The pure electric version uses a closed grille, resulting in a simpler overall style. All three models feature smoked headlights with upper and lower daytime running lights, enhancing their recognizability. The side profile is straight, featuring a floating roof design and sliding doors, a rarity in its class, with electric sliding doors as an optional extra. At the rear, all three models share a unified design, featuring elongated taillights and a recessed license plate area.
In terms of dimensions, the Xingguang 730 measures 4910/1850/1770 (1760) mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2910 mm, positioning it as a mid-size MPV. The new car will offer a variety of exterior colors, including Smoky Gray, Silver Frost White, Obsidian Black, and Twilight Purple.
In terms of interior, the Xingguang 730 offers two two-tone interior themes: Walnut Brown and Warm Sand Brown. It features a wraparound cockpit design with extensive use of soft-touch materials. The interior is equipped with a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel, a floating instrument panel, and a class-leading 12.8-inch floating central control screen, supporting vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity and offering various scene modes such as nap and camping.
Space is a major highlight of this car. It adopts a true 7-seat layout (2+2+3), with an effective interior length of 3331mm and a lateral width of 1500mm, both excellent in its class, achieving a rear space utilization rate of up to 88%. The aisle width between the second-row seats is up to 230mm, facilitating easy access to the third row. The third-row seats not only have large and comfortable cushions but can also be folded down in a 4/6 split, with the backrest angle adjustable to 127 degrees, enhancing comfort for long journeys. In 4-seat mode, the trunk volume expands to 1202L, offering excellent practicality.

The gasoline version is equipped with a 1.5T engine (model LC4), with a maximum power of 130kW and a peak torque of 260N·m, offering a choice of a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission.
The plug-in hybrid version features a hybrid system consisting of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor. The engine has a maximum power output of 78kW, while the electric motor has a maximum power output of 145kW. It is equipped with a 20.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a pure electric range of 125km and a combined range of up to 1100km.
The pure electric version features a 100kW electric motor and a 60kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 500km and supporting fast charging.
