The 2025 NIO ONVO L90 Black Knight Special Edition has officially launched. With its aggressive design language and robust technological features, the new car targets the mid-to-high-end pure electric SUV market. Its name, "Black Knight," comes from the combination of a matte black paint job and dark metallic trim, creating a mysterious and sharp visual impact. The body lines continue the ONVO series' signature fastback silhouette, achieving a drag coefficient as low as 0.23Cd, balancing aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency. Only 999 units will be available, with deliveries starting in early December.
The ONVO L90 Black Knight Edition is equipped with a 100kWh ternary lithium battery pack supplied by CATL, achieving a range of 720 kilometers under the CLTC comprehensive operating conditions registered with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It supports an 800V high-voltage fast charging architecture, providing an additional 300 kilometers of range with just 10 minutes of charging. In terms of power, it adopts a dual-motor four-wheel drive layout, with a combined output of 480kW and a peak torque of 850N·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and offers an intelligent adjustable suspension system supporting three modes: comfort, sport, and off-road.
The interior features a 12.8-inch OLED central control screen and a 10.2-inch HUD head-up display system, equipped with the third-generation NIO NOMI voice assistant, supporting multi-zone recognition and continuous dialogue. The seats are upholstered in a combination of Nappa leather and eco-friendly suede. The driver's seat integrates 16-way power adjustment and massage functions, while the rear seats are equipped with magnetic expansion interfaces for connecting tablets or in-car refrigerators. The audio system is a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos array, combined with 256-color ambient lighting and a fragrance system, achieving a five-sense interactive experience.
The vehicle comes standard with 12 high-definition cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 1 lidar, pre-installed with NIO NAD (NIO Autonomous Driving) intelligent driving hardware, supporting urban navigation assistance and automatic parking functions. For passive safety, it adopts a cage-like body with 28% 2000MPa hot-formed steel, and is equipped with remote airbags and two-way pre-locking seat belts, achieving a five-star rating in the 2024 C-NCAP test.
The ONVO L90 Black Knight Special Edition is priced at RMB 306,800, filling a gap in the high-performance, personalized segment of the NIO product line. Its competitors are directly the Tesla Model Y Performance and BMW iX3, but it differentiates itself in terms of range and localized intelligent ecosystem. It is understood that the first batch of deliveries of this model will begin in the first quarter of 2025, and online and offline pre-order channels are currently open.
