On December 28th, ROX Motor's brand-new flagship large luxury SUV, the ROX ADAMAS, was officially launched in the Chinese domestic market. Positioned in the high-end new energy off-road market, the vehicle features a rugged "boxy" design, a range-extended powertrain system, and offers both six- and seven-seat configurations, providing a new option for users seeking luxury, all-terrain capability, and family comfort.
The ROX ADAMAS is launched with two models to meet different customer needs regarding seating capacity. The official suggested retail prices have been announced:
Seven-seat Outdoor All-rounder Edition: Suggested retail price 349,900 RMB
Six-seat Luxury Executive Edition: Suggested retail price 359,900 RMB
The ROX ADAMAS continues the brand's classic rugged style in its design. The iconic "boxy" shape provides high recognition and a powerful presence. The front fascia has been subtly optimized; the grille frame has been changed from black in the previous model to a body-colored finish, enhancing the overall look. The honeycomb mesh trim below the headlights has also been replaced with a closed design, making the front end look cleaner and more modern. The vehicle is available in five colors: Deep Rock Gray, Glacier White, Forest Green, Quicksand Gold, and Starry Black.
The rear design also continues the rugged style, retaining and offering an optional iconic "backpack" style externally mounted full-size spare tire. The tailgate opens sideways, complemented by L-shaped brake lights and smoked vertical taillights, giving it a powerful look. The new car measures 5050/1985/1856mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3010mm, making it a standard large SUV.
Inside, the ADAMAS's interior layout is dominated by clean, rugged lines. The most striking features of the center console are the 15.7-inch floating central control screen and the 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, which form the main interaction and information display center. The steering wheel adopts a new two-spoke design, different from the previous model. In terms of comfort features, the new car is truly impressive: all four doors are equipped with power-assisted soft-closing doors, enhancing the sense of occasion and convenience when entering and exiting the vehicle; the front seats are wrapped in Nappa leather and support ventilation and heating functions. The rear seats are a key highlight, offering two seating layouts: a 2+2+2 six-seater and a 2+2+3 seven-seater. The six-seater version features independent airline-style seats in the second row for enhanced comfort. Additionally, a 15.7-inch 3K high-definition entertainment screen is available as an option for the rear seats, greatly improving the entertainment experience during long journeys. The new car also offers features such as a heated and cooled in-car refrigerator and 256-color ambient lighting to enhance luxury and practicality.
The powertrain is a major highlight of the ROX ADAMAS. It features an extended-range electric system consisting of a 1.5T four-cylinder engine as a range extender, coupled with front and rear dual electric motors. The 1.5T range extender has a maximum power of 110 kilowatts (approximately 108 kW), primarily responsible for efficient power generation. The dual motors have a combined power of 350 kilowatts and a peak torque of 740 Newton-meters, propelling this large vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
In terms of batteries, the new car is equipped with a 44.5kWh ternary lithium-ion battery pack, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 215 kilometers. This means that for daily city commuting, it can be used entirely as a pure electric vehicle, at a low cost. During long-distance driving, the range extender system kicks in, providing a combined range of up to 1405 kilometers, completely eliminating range anxiety. Furthermore, the new car comes standard with air suspension with a travel of up to 140 millimeters and an intelligent four-wheel drive system. Combined with its all-aluminum chassis structure with double wishbone front and H-arm rear suspension, it provides excellent on-road driving quality while also offering powerful all-terrain capabilities, with 7 driving modes to adapt to different road conditions.
As a uniquely positioned luxury hard-core extended-range SUV, the ADAMAS will directly compete with popular models such as the Lixiang L7 and AITO M7 in the market.
