The 2027 BYD DaTang EV officially launched on June 17, 2026, positioned as a full-size, all-electric, ultra-fast-charging flagship SUV within the Dynasty series. Four all-electric trim levels were introduced at launch. The entire lineup features the second-generation Blade Battery and a full-system 1000V high-voltage ultra-fast charging architecture, integrated with CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology. Standard equipment includes the "Eye of the Gods" (Tian Shen Zhi Yan) 5.0 intelligent driving system and a luxury suspension setup (front double-wishbone and rear five-link). Delivering flagship-level performance in range, charging speed, intelligent driving, and chassis handling, the vehicle is designed to meet diverse travel needs, ranging from daily family commuting and long-distance road trips to business reception.

Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Models

The RWD lineup comprises two trim levels, both utilizing a rear-mounted single-motor RWD configuration. These models prioritize long range and family-oriented comfort, making them ideal for daily urban commuting and inter-city travel.

The 800km RWD LiDAR "Zunrong" (Premium) Edition serves as the entry-level model, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 800km. It comes standard with LiDAR hardware, enabling advanced driving assistance functions for highways, urban roads, and full-scenario parking. The chassis features the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system and rear-wheel steering technology, balancing handling agility with driving stability. The cabin is equipped with the DiLink 6.0 intelligent interaction system, front-row zero-gravity seats, soft-close doors with acoustic glass on all four doors, and a panoramic roof; with a comprehensive suite of core comfort and safety features, it meets the essential requirements of mainstream family travel.

The 950km RWD LiDAR "Qijian" (Flagship) Edition builds upon the entry-level model with upgrades to both range and luxury features. The CLTC range increases to 950km, and motor power is optimized for stronger acceleration. The chassis is upgraded to the DiSus-A dual-chamber intelligent air suspension, supporting adaptive body height adjustment based on speed, which further enhances off-road capability and ride quality. Cabin upgrades include Nappa leather seats, an in-car heating/cooling refrigerator, a rear-seat overhead entertainment screen, and a high-end audio system. The panoramic roof is upgraded to a multi-layer heat and sound-insulating structure, significantly improving long-distance ride comfort. This model stands out as the most well-balanced option in the lineup.

AWD Models

The AWD lineup comprises two trim levels featuring a dual-motor (front and rear) all-wheel-drive architecture, designed to deliver high performance and all-terrain capability.

The "850km AWD LiDAR Flagship" model is equipped with a dual-motor AWD system, offering a CLTC pure-electric range of 850 km. It delivers significantly improved acceleration (0–100 km/h) and enhanced stability on slippery surfaces—such as rain or snow—and in moderately challenging driving conditions; it also includes a dedicated off-road driving mode. Its intelligent driving features, air suspension, and cabin comfort specifications match those of the "950km RWD LiDAR Flagship," making it ideal for users who prioritize powertrain performance and versatility across all driving scenarios.

The "Datang Shengshi" (Golden Age of Tang) edition serves as the top-tier trim in the lineup. While sharing the same powertrain and range specifications as the 850km AWD LiDAR Flagship, it maximizes luxury and exclusive features. Exterior highlights include a unique two-tone paint scheme, custom alloy wheels, a welcome light carpet, and upgraded smart electric doors for all four entry points. Inside, the cabin utilizes premium materials and adds zero-gravity captain's chairs in the second row alongside a dedicated front-passenger entertainment screen; complemented by a smart fragrance system, it creates a flagship driving and riding experience that balances executive-level sophistication with family-oriented comfort.
