As the inaugural model of the HIMA "Fifth Realm" brand, the 2025 SAIC H5—jointly developed by Huawei and SAIC Group—officially launched on September 23, 2025. Positioned as a mid-size intelligent SUV, the vehicle is built upon the core philosophy of making "advanced intelligent driving universally accessible," thereby redefining the experiential standards within the 200,000-RMB new energy vehicle market segment. The vehicle measures 4,780 × 1,910 × 1,664 mm, boasts a wheelbase of 2,840 mm, and features a 2+3 five-seat configuration with a completely flat rear floor. It offers a trunk capacity of 601 liters, while the pure-electric variant includes an additional 124-liter front trunk (frunk), demonstrating class-leading space utilization efficiency.

The entire model lineup comes standard with the Huawei Harmony Intelligent Cockpit, featuring a 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch floating central control screen. The system supports automatic login via facial recognition, Super Desktop 2.0, multi-turn conversational interaction with the Xiaoyi Voice Assistant, and dynamic synchronization with the 256-color ambient lighting system, delivering a seamless and immersive human-vehicle interaction experience. The cabin is further equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control, 50W wireless fast charging, a 360-degree panoramic imaging system, and rear privacy glass, striking a perfect balance between technological sophistication and practical utility.

Regarding intelligent driving capabilities, the entire series comes standard with the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 system. High-trim models are equipped with a 192-line mechanical LiDAR unit and 4D millimeter-wave radar, establishing a comprehensive, fusion-based perception system. This enables a full suite of intelligent driving functions across various scenarios—including urban NCA (Navigation Cruise Assist) with zero human intervention, automatic parking, memory parking, highway piloting, and narrow-road tracking in rural areas—achieving industry-leading levels of perception accuracy and decision-making capability.

The chassis integrates SAIC’s Nebula pure-electric platform with Huawei’s XMOTION digital chassis engine. Utilizing a suspension structure featuring front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link independent setup—combined with a German-style luxury tuning philosophy—the vehicle delivers a ride quality characterized by being "soft yet stable, firm yet agile," effectively balancing urban driving comfort with high-speed stability.

SAIC H5 2025 Model: Range-Extended Version

The range-extended version is equipped with SAIC’s DMH 1.5L dedicated range-extender engine, boasting a thermal efficiency of up to 43.23%. Working in tandem with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor, the system delivers a combined power output of 150 kW. Fitted with a 32.6 kWh ternary lithium battery, it offers a CLTC pure-electric range of 235 km—meeting the demand for zero-fuel consumption during daily commutes—while a full tank and full charge yield a combined range exceeding 1,360 km, completely eliminating range anxiety for long-distance travel.

In pure-electric mode, power response is swift and smooth; the range extender engages without any noticeable jolts, and noise control is excellent, delivering a dual experience that combines the "driving feel of an EV with the range of a gasoline car." It supports 100 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to replenish up to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes—matching the charging efficiency of the pure-electric version.

The exterior continues the "Harmony" intelligent mobility family design language, featuring a closed-off front fascia paired with slender LED light clusters and L-shaped air ducts. The previously hidden door handles have been replaced by a retro-style mechanical design, enhancing both practicality and visual distinctiveness. Six body color options are available—including *Cloud Water Blue*, *Midsummer Purple*, and *Elegant River Green*—while wheel choices include 19-inch low-drag rims or 20-inch multi-spoke rims, offering a youthful aesthetic with a strong sense of technological sophistication.

SAIC H5 2025 Model: Pure-Electric Version

The pure-electric version features a rear-mounted single motor, available in two power output variants: 150 kW and 180 kW. These are paired with either a 64.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery or an 80 kWh ternary lithium battery. The CLTC pure-electric range covers four distinct tiers—525 km, 535 km, 640 km, and 655 km—with the long-range variants specifically designed to meet the needs of frequent inter-city travel. The battery system supports an 800V high-voltage fast-charging architecture, delivering a peak charging power of 150 kW; it can replenish the charge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes—a charging efficiency that significantly outperforms other vehicles in its class. A 124-liter front trunk comes standard across the entire lineup, providing space to store personal items or charging cables and enhancing everyday convenience.

The exterior design is identical to that of the range-extended version, with the powertrain type distinguished solely by the placement of the charging port and the absence of a hood designed to accommodate a range extender. The interior configuration, cabin systems, and intelligent driving features are fully synchronized with the range-extended version, embodying a product philosophy where "different powertrains yield a consistent user experience." This approach offers a high-value option for family users seeking zero-carbon mobility and low operating costs.
