Xpeng Motors' new mid-to-large coupe E29 officially released an official preview video today. The model is positioned as the brand's flagship coupe, adopting a breakthrough design language and cutting-edge intelligent technology. It is expected to be officially launched in the third quarter of 2025.
Pioneering aesthetic design
The front face adopts a through-type "H"-shaped LED daytime running light strip with split lens headlights. The roof line forms a right-angle fold line at the A-pillar. The fastback body proportions are similar to the Audi A7, and the car length exceeds 5 meters to create a stretched posture;
Equipped with frameless doors, hidden door handles and electric lifting rear wings, the rear end adopts a through-type three-dimensional light group to echo the front face design, and the rear window area is increased to enhance the sense of transparency;
The design team is led by French designer Rafik Ferrag, integrating cyberpunk style and aerodynamic optimization, and the drag coefficient is reduced by 12% compared with the current P7.
Smart technology upgrade
The first self-developed Turing AI chip, adopting a pure visual perception solution, the hardware computing power is 3 times higher than the previous generation, and supports urban/high-speed NGP dual-domain high-level assisted driving;
Equipped with a full-scene voice 2.0 system, the cockpit integrates a 15.6-inch floating central control screen and AR-HUD projection, and cancels the traditional instrument panel to achieve minimalist interaction.
Performance parameter preview
Developed based on the E platform, it provides rear-wheel drive single motor and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions, with a maximum power of 230kW, and a CLTC range of more than 700 kilometers;
Adopting front and rear five-link independent suspension and active air intake grille, the handling performance is comparable to Porsche Taycan.
Market strategy layout
The new car will replace the current P7i as the brand's coupe flagship, with a price range of 200,000-300,000 yuan to compete with Xiaomi SU7, BYD Han L EV and other competitors. The official "P7 Ultra" trademark was registered simultaneously, which may be reserved for the high-performance version. With the exposure of spy photos of He Xpeng personally participating in road testing, the car has completed high-temperature and plateau environment verification, and the mass production process has entered the final stage.
