On June 13, 2025, Dongfeng NISSAN officially announced that the X-TRAIL series will add a new "Sincere Edition" model, which is scheduled to be officially launched in early July. As the entry-level version of the current X-TRAIL, this model continues the "new and old together" sales strategy, aiming to further lower the threshold for car purchases and directly compete with mainstream joint venture SUVs such as Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.
The appearance of the new X-TRAIL retains NISSAN's iconic V-Motion front grille design, with split LED headlights, a segmented waistline on the side of the body, and a through-type light group and hidden exhaust layout at the rear. The body size remains the current standard, with a length, width and height of 4681/1840/1730mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2706mm, which has more space advantages than its competitors.
In terms of interior, it is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a floating central control screen, retaining core functions, simplifying luxury configuration, and all series are standard:
Mobile phone wireless charging;
Tire pressure monitoring system;
Front and rear parking radar + 360° panoramic image;
Full-speed adaptive cruise;
Luxury configurations such as leather seats, Harman audio, etc. may only be provided in high-end models.
Continuing the current power combination, 1.5T three-cylinder and e-POWER dual options:
1.5T VC-Turbo engine: maximum power 150kW (204 horsepower), matched with CVT gearbox, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology fuel consumption 5.8L/100km, using variable compression ratio technology (8:1-14:1);
e-POWER super hybrid system: composed of 1.5T range extender + dual motors, comprehensive fuel consumption as low as 3.8L/100km, four-wheel drive version retains off-road performance.
The current X-TRAIL sold only 3,677 units in the Chinese market in May. The launch of the "Sincere Edition" is seen as NISSAN's last stand in the compact SUV market. Referring to the pricing strategy of the same brand SYLPHY / TEANA "Sincere Edition" (RMB 120,000-140,000), the new car may drop to the 120,000 level, becoming a new variable in the price war of joint venture brands.
