The core powertrain utilizes a Mach hybrid system, comprising a 1.5T engine (maximum power of 113kW) with a 45.18% thermal efficiency, a 4-speed DHT transmission, and a 30.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Test data from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) shows a pure electric range of 248km (nominal 185km), a combined range of 2,245km, and a fuel consumption of just 2.4L/100km. This system supports multi-speed series-parallel operation and power split technology, officially touted as "unique in the industry."
Based on the pricing structure of the Dongfeng Aeolus L7 (RMB 99,900-149,900), the L8 is expected to enter the market with a starting price of around RMB 130,000, directly competing with popular models such as the BYD Song Plus.
