Great Wall Motor officially launched pre-orders for the Tank 500 Hi4-T/Hi4-Z Smart Edition at 6:00 PM on August 11, 2025. While retaining its hardcore off-road DNA, this facelift redefines the standard of "luxury smart off-road" with 27 upgrades, including LiDAR and a smart cockpit. Information filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology indicates that the new vehicle has passed certification (announcement batch: 2025, seventh batch) and is expected to be delivered in the third quarter.
Exterior Refinements
Maintaining the current dimensions of 5078×1934×1905mm and a wheelbase of 2850mm, the model now features a new "Dunhuang Green" paint finish (eight-layer nano-spray coating).
The front grille features a "raised center grille" design, with chrome trim extending to the headlights, inspired by the eaves of ancient architecture.
The rear-mounted spare tire now features the global "GWM TANK" logo.
LiDAR Integration
Top-of-the-line models can be equipped with the optional Hesai ATX LiDAR (60% smaller in size). This system, combined with 11 cameras and a 3mm-wave radar, forms the Coffee Pilot Ultra system, supporting features such as City/Highway No-Acceleration (NOA) and Cross-Level Memory Parking.
Innovative Cabin
The hand-operated gearshift design frees up center console space and is equipped with Coffee OS 3.3.
Rear-seat 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted entertainment screen (3K blue light protection) and 5.4L compressor refrigerator (-6°C to 50°C).
NAPPA leather seats feature ventilation, heating, and massage function throughout, and the second row folds flat to create a 1.8-meter bed.
Enhanced Off-Road Performance
Hi4-Z Edition: 2.0T + dual-motor hybrid engine, 635kW combined power, 201km WLTC pure electric range (measured reverse direction, nominal).
Retains core features such as a non-load-bearing body, three differential locks, and Tank U-turn.
Price Range: The Hi4-T edition is expected to start at RMB 335,000, while the main Hi4-Z model is priced between RMB 360,000 and 400,000.
