On September 22, GAC AION officially launched the updated 2026 model of its AION RT. The new model comes in four configurations, with an official price range of RMB 99,800 to 123,800. After government subsidies, the price ranges from RMB 85,800 to 109,800.
All models come standard with a CATL 68.1kWh "Shenxing" battery, offering a CLTC range of 650km. It supports 400V silicon carbide 3C fast charging, charging from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes, and adding 200km of range in 10 minutes. The battery has a guaranteed lifespan of 800,000 km, and comes with industry-first "lifetime warranty for the entire battery pack + direct customer support," allowing users to contact CATL directly for technical support.
Equipped with a third-generation silicon carbide motor, it delivers a peak power of 165kW and 240N·m of torque, with an average energy consumption of 11.9kWh/100km. Compared to traditional IGBT chips, efficiency is improved by 15%. The aerodynamic design, with a drag coefficient of 0.208Cd, is further enhanced by the hidden door handles.
The vehicle measures 4865×1875×1520mm, with a wheelbase of 2775mm, exceeding that of its competitor, the Xpeng MONA M03. Continuing the "Raptor" design language, it offers seven exterior colors. Standard features include power-operated hidden door handles and a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen. The interior features 100% leather-wrapped surfaces in high-contact areas.
The starting price is RMB 119,800 (520km range version). The 650km version is priced from RMB 135,800 to 155,800. All models come standard with a lifetime warranty for the powertrain, ventilated/heated front seats, and a 540° panoramic view camera. Compared to the BYD Qin L EV (505km range) and the Xpeng MONA M03 (60kWh battery), the AION RT boasts significant advantages in battery capacity and fast-charging technology.
GAC AION addresses concerns about residual value for electric vehicles with its "lifetime battery warranty + direct service network," and further lowers the entry barrier with its limited-time September promotion. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the current AION RT model has an average monthly sales volume exceeding 4,600 units, and the refreshed 2026 model is expected to drive sales growth by over 20%.
