The highly anticipated Deepal L06 has officially announced that pre-sales will begin at 7:00 PM on October 30th. Positioned as a "long-range magnetorheological laser intelligent coupe," the new car is expected to reshape the competitive landscape in the 200,000 RMB smart electric sedan market thanks to cutting-edge features such as the first mass-produced magnetorheological suspension by a Chinese brand, standard LiDAR across the entire range, and a 3nm flagship cockpit chip.
The Deepal L06's greatest technical highlight is its fourth-generation magnetorheological suspension system, the same one used in the Ferrari 296 GTB. This suspension utilizes an innovative magnetorheological fluid. Microparticles in the fluid form chains in an electromagnetic field, enabling millisecond-level damping adjustments. With a 10ms response time, 1,000 high-frequency adjustments per second, and adaptive soft and hard switching capabilities for all scenarios, it balances comfort and handling, earning it the nickname "magnetic levitation on the road."
The Deepal L06 is equipped with LiDAR as standard across the entire range and features a full-range, end-to-end assisted driving system co-developed with Horizon Robotics. City Pilot Assist is enabled upon delivery, supporting both urban and highway NCA (Non-Car Assist) and all-scenario parking assistance, lowering the threshold for high-end intelligent driving to under 200,000 RMB.
The Deepal L06 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity S1 Ultra, the first 3nm flagship cockpit chip, along with a 15.6-inch Sunflower display and a 50-inch AR-HUD, providing a smooth and seamless operating experience.
Exterior and Dimensions: The Deepal L06 measures 4830×1905×1480mm, with a 2900mm wheelbase. It is positioned as a mid-size smart electric sedan. The exterior continues the Deepal family's minimalist, sporty style, featuring an orchid petal design on the front and a speed-adjustable electric rear spoiler and large diffuser at the rear, resulting in a drag coefficient of just 0.23.
The interior features a T-shaped layout with over 90% soft-coverage coverage. It features a three-spoke steering wheel (with dual-mode operation), a low-profile driver's seat and zero-gravity front passenger seats, and 256-color multi-layer adjustable ambient lighting.
Power and Range: The Deepal L06 is available in two powertrain options: a pure electric version and an extended-range version.
Pure electric version: Equipped with a 200kW motor and two battery packs, 56.12kWh and 68.82kWh, the CLTC ranges are 560km and 670km, respectively.
Extended-range version: Equipped with a 1.5L range extender (maximum power 72kW) and a 175kW drive motor, paired with a 28.39kWh battery pack, it boasts a pure electric range of 180km and a combined range of over 1,200km.
The Deepal L06 is expected to be launched and delivered in November. Considering the current starting price of 140,000 RMB for the Deepal SL03, if the L06 can, as Chairman Deng Chenghao stated, become "the smartest sedan under 200,000 RMB," it will directly compete with the BYD Seal, Xpeng P5, and even the Tesla Model 3.
