On November 5th, the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA all-electric model was officially launched, offering two configurations priced at RMB 249,000 and RMB 285,600 respectively. As an all-electric compact car, this model is built on the MMA platform, with a wheelbase 40 mm longer than the overseas version, reaching 2830 mm, and is equipped with a two-speed transmission.
The 2025 CLA features a closed-off star-studded front fascia design, with a dynamic light curtain system composed of 142 independently controllable LED lights, supporting seven lighting modes. The fastback body has undergone thousands of wind tunnel tests, achieving a drag coefficient as low as 0.21Cd. Hidden door handles and frameless windows further optimize aerodynamics. A long-wheelbase version, specially launched for the Chinese market, boasts a 2830mm wheelbase and a 10mm longer rear seat cushion, providing executive-level legroom.
Built on an 800-volt high-voltage architecture, the vehicle is equipped with an 85kWh ternary lithium battery. The CLTC offers a maximum range of 866 kilometers with a power consumption of only 10.9kWh per 100 kilometers. It features the world's first electric two-speed transmission, achieving 268 horsepower in the rear-wheel-drive version and 349 horsepower in the all-wheel-drive version through a dual gear ratio design of 11:1 and 5:1. Charging supports a peak power of 325kW, replenishing 370 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes.
The interior features an MBUX Super Screen covering the width of the cabin, integrating a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central control screen, and a 14-inch passenger screen, supporting gesture control and Dolby Atmos sound. A fingerprint recognition module has been added to the center console, further enhancing the personalized experience.
Developed by a Chinese team in collaboration with supplier Momenta, the L2+ level intelligent driving system employs a pure vision-based approach and an end-to-end model without image processing. It supports urban navigation assistance and utilizes NVIDIA chips and a multi-sensor fusion solution.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA all-electric model, priced between RMB 249,000 and 299,900, directly targets models like the Tesla Model 3 and Xiaomi SU7. Its extended range, supercharging capabilities, and localized intelligent driving technology demonstrate Mercedes-Benz's strategic commitment to the luxury electric vehicle market.
