The 2026 Li L8 officially launched on June 23, 2026. Positioned as a flagship five-seat extended-range SUV built on Li Auto’s flagship "9-series" technical architecture, the lineup comprises two trim levels—Ultra and Livis. Upgrades focus on three key areas: ride comfort, chassis handling, and advanced intelligence, specifically targeting high-end family travel scenarios.
Both models share the same third-generation, in-house developed 5C extended-range powertrain architecture. They feature a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, paired with a 72.7 kWh ternary lithium 5C supercharging battery. The vehicle offers a pure electric range of 430 km (CLTC) and a combined range of 1,670 km with a full tank and full charge. Fuel consumption in low-battery mode is as low as 6.2 L/100km, allowing for pure electric daily commuting and eliminating range anxiety during long-distance trips. Thanks to 5C supercharging technology, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes, significantly boosting charging efficiency. A 3.5 kW external power discharge function comes standard across the lineup, supporting diverse use cases such as outdoor camping and emergency power supply.
As the base trim of the series, the Ultra version features a "Magic Carpet" chassis with drive-by-wire technology. It is equipped with third-generation dual-chamber, dual-valve air suspension, steer-by-wire, and rear-wheel steering; the vehicle boasts a turning radius of just 5.1 meters, balancing ride comfort (vibration absorption) with low-speed maneuverability. In terms of intelligent driving, it is equipped with a single Mahe M100 smart driving chip and one LiDAR unit, running the Mahe VLA end-to-end smart driving model to support full-scenario NOA (Navigate on Autopilot). The cabin comes standard with four "Zero-Gravity" seats; the second-row seats offer wide-angle reclining and extra-long leg rest adjustments. Interior amenities include a 29-inch 6K integrated panoramic display, a Qualcomm 8797 Max cockpit chip, six-zone independent climate control, and an in-vehicle hot/cold refrigerator. Complemented by a 27-speaker audio system, the vehicle comprehensively meets the comfort and entertainment needs of family travel.
Building upon the Ultra version's specifications, this trim level offers comprehensive upgrades to chassis performance, intelligent driving capabilities, and cabin luxury. The chassis has been upgraded to feature an 800V active suspension and an EMB (Electro-Mechanical Brake) system, enabling independent four-wheel control; this delivers superior active body support and significantly suppresses body roll, while also supporting OTA updates to unlock additional exclusive driving modes. The intelligent driving system now utilizes dual Mach M100 chips—doubling total computing power—paired with four solid-state variable-focus LiDAR sensors; this comprehensively enhances perception coverage and decision-making accuracy, resulting in a more refined experience for advanced intelligent driving and embodied AI functions. Inside the cabin, the system has been upgraded to the Qualcomm 8797 Elite chip and now includes a new 21-inch 4K movable rear-cabin screen. Complemented by electric doors throughout the vehicle, a dedicated welcome light carpet, and a luxury interior package, the rear-seat entertainment and overall sense of occasion have been further elevated to meet the needs of users who demand a premium travel experience.
