On May 27, 2025, Chang'an Automobile officially announced the strength and related configuration information of the Qiyuan A06 extended-range version. As a new player in the 150,000-level medium and large sedan market, the new car is equipped with a 1.5L range extender and a 28.39kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a pure electric range of 180 kilometers (test conditions have not been announced), and is expected to be launched in the second half of 2025.
Judging from the Qiyuan A06 real car pictures released by Chang'an Automobile, the Chang'an Qiyuan A06 extended-range version and the pure electric version are basically the same in appearance. The front face adopts a closed design, with a through-type LED light group and a luminous car logo, and a black air intake grille at the bottom. The overall shape is simple and technological. The front hood of the car is designed with raised edges, which enhances the sportiness of the vehicle. At the rear, the through-type taillight group echoes the front of the car, and the tail logo also has a luminous function. The tail logos of the extended-range version and the pure electric version are "A06 R" and "A06 E" respectively to distinguish the two power versions.

The new Chang'an Qiyuan A06 is built on the SDA pure electric architecture, with the main "hardware pluggable, system self-evolution" technology label, and its competitors are targeting the new energy sedan market at the same price.
