On June 3, Geely Galaxy Automobile officially released the official pictures of the medium-sized plug-in hybrid sedan A7 EM-i. Its Thor electric hybrid system caused a stir in the industry with 2L fuel consumption when out of power and 2100km+ comprehensive range. According to the previous information reported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the wheelbase of the car is 2845mm, the length is over 4.9 meters, and it is positioned in the medium-sized sedan market.
Power system:
Equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (82kW) + electric drive combination, the system has a total power of 350 horsepower (refer to the same architecture of Galaxy Star 8 EM-i).
Matched with a single-speed DHT gearbox, WLTC pure electric range is 120 kilometers (CATL lithium iron phosphate battery).
Energy consumption performance:
2L/100km fuel consumption when out of power, the cost per kilometer is about 0.1 yuan (calculated based on the price of No. 92 oil).
Two CLTC pure electric range versions are available, 60km/130km, with comprehensive ranges of 1500km/1600km respectively.
Appearance: closed front grille + through-type light strip, through-type waistline design on the side, and smoked through-type taillights at the rear.
Space: Traditional three-box shape, small ducktail design on the top of the trunk, taking into account practicality and sportiness.
The pre-sale threshold of the new car may drop to 100,000 yuan, directly targeting BYD Qin L DM-i and other competing products. The "world's lowest fuel consumption" label marked by engineers on the test car demonstrates technical confidence. According to estimates, its commuting fuel savings can cover users' monthly catering consumption.
With the characteristics of "no anxiety for long distances and zero fuel consumption for short distances", the A7 EM-i may reshape the plug-in hybrid market pattern. Its 2100km range is equivalent to no need to recharge from Beijing to Guangzhou.
