On June 6, 2025, Chery Automobile announced that its QQ Duomi micro pure electric vehicle will start pre-sale. The new car will be launched in two configurations: 305km comfort type and 405km comfort type, with pre-sale prices of 59,900 yuan and 69,900 yuan respectively. As the electrification continuation of the classic QQ series, the car targets the urban commuting market with a 5-door 5-seat layout, a maximum range of 405 kilometers and intelligent configuration.
The new car uses a triangular LED light group with a through-type black trim to form a unique "smiling front face" shape, and the floating roof and hidden door handle design enhance the sense of fashion. The body size is 3720×1700×1599(1608)mm, the wheelbase is 2520mm, the C-pillar is blackened to form a visual extension effect, and the smoked light group at the rear echoes the front of the car. It is worth noting that its exterior design is highly similar to the Kaiyi Shiyue Mate, with only the Chery brand logo replaced.
The car is equipped with a 7-inch LCD instrument + 10.25-inch central control screen combination, and a hand-held shift mechanism is used to release the central control space. The double-spoke multi-function steering wheel is matched with an integrated sports seat, and the rear row supports proportional folding, which can expand the storage space. The basic configuration includes reversing images, one-button lifting of all car windows, driver and passenger airbags, etc. The 405km version also adds a VTOL mobile power station function.
In terms of power, the entire series is equipped with a 40kW front single motor (peak torque 110N·m), providing 28.5kWh and 39.33kWh two lithium iron phosphate battery packs, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 305km and 405km. In fast charging mode, 30%-80% of energy can be replenished in 30 minutes, and the 405km version can be charged once every two weeks in actual urban commuting. Although the motor power of the new car is not as good as some competitors, the data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that its power consumption per 100 kilometers is only 9.8kWh, and its energy efficiency performance is outstanding.
QQ Duomi is an important chess piece for the downward extension of Chery's electric vehicle product line. QQ Duomi directly targets micro electric vehicles such as Wuling Hongguang MINIEV. Compared with models of the same level, its advantages lie in the space practicality brought by the longer wheelbase and the possibility of cross-city travel provided by the 405km version. However, when the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported it in the early stage, it was pointed out that the appearance design is similar to models such as smart, which may affect its originality evaluation.
With the start of pre-sale, Chery officials revealed that the new car will be officially launched in the second half of this month. Whether this small car carrying the memory of the nation can continue to write a legend in the era of electric vehicles, the market will soon give the answer.
