On July 9, 2025, Xiaomi Motors announced today that it has added an anti-lost mode for the rear removable control screen of the YU7 model. When the user leaves the vehicle with the screen, the system will send a reminder through the central control screen and the rear screen simultaneously, effectively avoiding the risk of device loss. This upgrade is particularly suitable for online car-hailing or offline display scenarios, solving the storage pain point of detachable screens.
The control screen adopts a mobile phone-like form design, supports magnetic disassembly and UWB cross-screen flow technology, and can achieve:
0.5℃ precision air conditioning adjustment and 135° infinite adjustment of seat angle;
Real-time projection of rear navigation to the main driver's dashboard;
Divided authority music playlist sharing function;
Users can pop up the screen with a light tap, and it will be automatically fixed by magnetic suction when put back. The operation logic is close to that of smartphones, and the learning cost is extremely low.
This upgrade also optimizes the car connection function:
Watch navigation reminder: Xiaomi Watch S4 series can vibrate and warn before the light turns green or before turning;
AI glasses control: trigger the photo/video function of glasses with one click through the car machine;
Sky screen collaboration: The 1.1-meter Mini-LED projection screen in the front row can display driving information and entertainment content in different areas.
Although the anti-lost mode of the rear control screen of Xiaomi YU7 has received good reviews, some family users have called for strengthening the waterproof design of the screen to deal with the situation where children accidentally spill liquids. Xiaomi Auto said it will continue to collect feedback and expects to further optimize the interactive experience in subsequent OTA.
