Mercedes-Benz officially released the second-generation CLA Shooting Brake electric station wagon on July 14. Built on the MMA pure electric platform, it became the brand's first masterpiece that combines the aesthetics of a shooting brake with electric technology. The new car is scheduled to debut at the Munich Motor Show in September and will be launched in early 2026. It will provide three power versions: pure electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid.
Size upgrade: body length reaches 4723mm (+35mm), wheelbase 2790mm (+61mm), and rear headroom increases by 7mm.
Loading capacity: standard 455-liter trunk (50 liters more than the coupe version), equipped with a 101-liter front trunk for the first time, and the total volume expands to 1290 liters after the rear seats are folded down, achieving a balance between space and aesthetics.
Styling features: frameless doors, hidden door handles and fastback tailgate, through-type taillights contain a three-pointed star emblem pattern.
Pure electric version: 85kWh battery pack, rear-wheel drive version has a range of 761 kilometers (WLTC conditions), four-wheel drive version has 349 horsepower, and 0-100 acceleration is 4.8 seconds.
Hybrid options: Plug-in hybrid version has a comprehensive power of 300 horsepower and a pure electric range of 100 kilometers; mild hybrid version has 1.5T+48V motor, with a maximum of 191 horsepower, achieving a double breakthrough in range and power.
The interior continues the CLA coupe design, with a standard 10.25-inch instrument + 14-inch central control screen, and an optional co-pilot entertainment screen. Equipped with the fourth-generation MBUX system, it supports multi-dialect voice interaction and 800V high-voltage fast charging technology, and the digital experience is fully evolved.
Benz electric station wagon CLA Shooting Brake will compete with competitors such as NIO ET5T and Zeekr 007GT. The starting price is expected to be in the 300,000 yuan range, and it is mainly aimed at high-end users who pursue both individuality and practicality. Benz officials said the car "redefines the value benchmark for station wagons in the electric era."
