Chery Auto announced that the 2026 Tiggo 9 will launch on September 27. The new model will feature updates to its exterior and interior design. For comparison, the current Tiggo 9 gasoline version has a price range of 152,900 to 203,900 RMB; the current 2025 Tiggo 9 C-DM has a price range of 165,900 to 175,900 RMB.
The 2026 Tiggo 9 retains the octagonal grille frame, but replaces the current vertical chrome slats with a diamond-shaped mesh pattern. The redesigned front bumper and sharper LED headlights further enhance the look. The side profile retains the hidden door handles and 19-inch wheels, while the rear end maintains the full-width taillights and dual-exhaust layout. The C-DM version retains its unique badge. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) data, the new car's dimensions remain at 4820×1930×1712mm, with a wheelbase of 2820mm, and offers 5- or 7-seat configurations.
The 24.6-inch integrated screen is replaced with a 12.3-inch floating instrument panel and a 14.8-inch central touchscreen. The air vents are now horizontally positioned across the dashboard, and a wireless phone charging pad is added. Features expected to carry over include CDC electromagnetic suspension, a 14-speaker Sony sound system (including headrest speakers), 256-color ambient lighting, and the upgraded C-PURE 2.0 air purification system.
Gasoline version: Equipped with a SQRF4J20 2.0T engine, producing 180kW of net power (MIIT data), paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. A high-performance version will offer all-wheel drive. C-DM Plug-in Hybrid Version: It is expected to retain the 1.5T engine and dual-motor system, with a combined system output of 280kW, an all-electric range of 82km (WLTC standard), and a total range of up to 1400km.
Referring to the current 2025 model's price range of 152,900-203,900 RMB for the gasoline version and 165,900-179,900 RMB for the C-DM version, the new model is expected to maintain a similar price point. Its main competitors are the Geely Monjaro L hybrid and the Changan UNI-K iDD. The new vehicle will officially launch on September 27th, at which time the final specifications and official pricing will be announced.
