On October 15, 2025, Chang'an Qiyuan's all-new pure electric SUV, the Q05, will make its global debut. With a pre-sale price of RMB 100,000-120,000, this small SUV features standard LiDAR across the board, an ultra-long range of 506km, and a Tianshu intelligent cockpit. It targets competitors like the BYD Yuan UP and Nezha AYA, reshaping the technical standards of the entry-level electric vehicle market.
Exterior Design: Designed by the team of world-class designer Klaus Ziciola, the Q05 utilizes the Digital Wing 2.0 design language. The closed front grille features a star-shaped ring light strip running through the vehicle, while the roof-mounted LiDAR and the blue driver assistance light create a visual signature.
Color Options: Available in five trendy colors, including Pine Green and Flowing Golden Purple, with matte paint accounting for 30% of the vehicle's surface area. The vehicle measures 4435×1855×1600mm, with a wheelbase of 2735mm, a remarkable performance for its class.
Innovative Details: Semi-recessed door handles reduce drag to 0.28Cd, and the illuminated rear logo and through-light cluster support a dynamic welcome mode.
Hardware: A combination of a roof-mounted LiDAR, 11 cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars provides 360-degree visibility.
Functional Availability: Supports NoA (No Adaptive Assist) navigation on highways and urban elevated roads, including advanced features such as automatic lane change and ramp clearance, with response latency reduced by 40% compared to its peers.
Interactive Design: Assisted driving status is intuitively indicated by color changes in the light strip, with a nighttime recognition range exceeding 200 meters.
Computing Power Upgrade: The first MT8676 automotive-grade chip, 24GB of RAM, and support for large-scale edge-to-edge models, with a voice wake-up speed of 0.8 seconds.
Screen Matrix: 15.6-inch 2.5K eye-protection central control screen + 10.17-inch full LCD instrument cluster, supporting three-finger flying touchscreen interaction.
Comfort Features: 8-point massage seats in the front seats + 165-degree reclining passenger seat, standard three-zone independent air conditioning and a panoramic sunroof in the rear seats.
Power Performance: 120kW electric motor with peak torque of 310N·m, 0-50km/h acceleration in 3.4 seconds, top speed limited to 160km/h.
Range: CATL's Golden Bell 3C battery is available in two capacities: 40.29kWh and 51.91kWh, corresponding to a CLTC range of 405km and 506km.
Charging Efficiency: 3C Supercharging technology allows for a 30%-80% charge in just 15 minutes, and supports V2L external discharge.
Compared to its competitors, the Q05 boasts a technological advantage with standard LiDAR across the entire range, boasting intelligent features comparable to models in the 200,000 RMB (approximately US$33,000) price range. If the official price drops to the 90,000 RMB (approximately US$43,000) range, it could significantly reshape the pure electric compact SUV market.
