On October 17, 2025, Smart officially announced that its first plug-in hybrid SUV, the Jingling #5 EHD, will officially launch on October 28th. Positioned as a "new luxury electric hybrid large five-seater SUV," the new model, with a pre-sale price starting at RMB 189,900, is equipped with Thor electric hybrid 2.0 technology and boasts a CLTC combined range of 1,615km. It features a four-dimensional experience of "super-efficient, super-smooth, super-quiet, and super-powerful."
Exterior: Continuing the "Time Capsule" design language of the all-electric model, it adds two new colors: Starry Blue and Slate Gray. The front fascia features Cyber Light and Shadow through-type LED headlights, while the rear features Super Red taillights. The car is complemented by 19-inch cruise control wheels and frameless doors.
Dimensions: Length, width, and height: 4705mm, 1920mm, and 1710mm, with a wheelbase of 2900mm. The cabin ratio reaches 85% in its class, and concealed door handles optimize wind resistance.
Screen Configuration: 25.6-inch AR-HUD + 10.3-inch LCD instrument panel + dual 13-inch 2.5K floating linked screens. Powered by an AMD V2000 chip, it supports three-screen interaction.
Luxury Features: Nappa leather seats, 256-color ambient lighting, a 20-speaker Sennheiser audio system, and NVH (Non-Volatile Humidity) idling noise of only 30dB(A), boasting a "baby-sleeping-level" quietness.
Hybrid System: 1.5TD engine (47.26% thermal efficiency) + 200kW electric motor + 3DHT three-speed transmission. Compatible with 92-octane gasoline, with a fuel consumption of 4.4L/100km when the battery is depleted.
Battery Configuration: CATL 41.46kWh battery (CLTC pure electric range: 252km) or 20kWh battery (pure electric range: 120km), DC fast charging in 20 minutes (10%-80%).
Assisted Driving: The smartPilot Assist system is equipped with a LiDAR and supports NSP (Non-Map Pilot Assist) for highway and urban driving, as well as LPA (Low-Power Pilot Assist) for driving without a map.
Body Safety: Utilizes a Mercedes-Benz steel-aluminum hybrid body, certified by China Automotive Research Institute (CARI) to a five-star safety standard.
