The 2026 BYD Seagull officially launched on May 11, 2026. As the world's first A00-class pure electric vehicle equipped with LiDAR, it marks the moment when the micro-EV segment formally enters the era of advanced intelligent driving. The new model continues the "Ocean Aesthetics" design language, featuring body dimensions of 3,780 × 1,715 × 1,540 mm and a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. It employs a suspension structure consisting of front MacPherson struts and a rear torsion beam. The entire lineup comes standard with dual windshield wipers, a 12.8-inch rotatable central control screen, and the DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit system. Notably, it is the first vehicle in its class to bring advanced features—specifically Urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and full-scenario automatic parking—down to this segment, thereby redefining the standards of intelligence for urban commuter vehicles.

Additionally, it offers the option to install the "Eye of the Gods B" LiDAR-based intelligent driving system, enabling full-scenario navigation assistance across both urban and highway environments. It represents a balanced choice that harmonizes cost-effectiveness with advanced intelligence.

Seagull 405km Ease Edition: Features a larger-capacity 38.88 kWh battery, boosting the CLTC range to 405 km, while maintaining a power output of 60 kW. It comes standard with automatic air conditioning, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and the 12.8-inch central control screen. Designed to accommodate longer-distance commuting requirements, this model strikes a balance between extended driving range and a foundational intelligent driving experience. Seagull 405km "Flying Edition": As the high-spec variant, in addition to its 405km driving range, this model comes standard across the series with 50W wireless fast charging, automatic climate control, a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a center armrest with integrated storage. It also offers the option to install the "Eye of the Gods B" LiDAR-based intelligent driving system, which supports Urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), traffic light countdowns, roundabout navigation, and full-scenario automatic parking—making it the ultimate commuting solution for those seeking a premium intelligent experience combined with exceptional range capabilities.

Vehicle Performance and Technology

The entire Seagull lineup is powered by a FinDreams Power 60kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering a peak torque of 130 N·m and a top speed of 130 km/h. This configuration ensures swifter power response, allowing for effortless overtaking in urban environments. The vehicle utilizes the second-generation Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Blade Battery, featuring optimized energy density and thermal management efficiency. Under CLTC testing conditions, the driving range spans from 305km to 405km, with energy consumption in low-charge states dropping as low as 9.8 kWh/100km. The intelligent driving system comes standard with one roof-mounted LiDAR unit, five millimeter-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic sensors, and high-definition cameras. With a computing power reaching 254 TOPS, the system supports full-scenario automatic parking, AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking), DMS (Driver Monitoring System), and unprotected left turns.
