Shanghai VW Tanyue GTE Plug-in Hybrid 2024 is a medium-sized plug-in hybrid SUV built on Shanghai VW's new energy MQB platform, positioning itself as a “German Intelligent New Energy Driver”, and launching the 280TSI Luxury Plus advanced version of the car. The car series combines VW's classic design language and plug-in hybrid technology, taking into account the needs of urban commuting and long-distance driving scenarios, and targeting young families and tech-savvy user groups.
New Energy Dynamic Design
It adopts the front face design with LED light bands and illuminated logo, with IQ.Light matrix headlight clusters and C-shaped daytime running lights, 18-inch dual-color spinning wheels on the sides, and a hidden exhaust layout at the rear with an exclusive GTE logo to strengthen the identity of new energy. The body dimensions are 4595mm x 1860mm x 1664mm, with a wheelbase of 2731mm, and the rear row supports a 4/6 ratio to be put down, and the trunk volume can be expanded to 1600L.
High-efficiency plug-in hybrid powertrain
Equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine + electric motor combination, the system has a combined power of 110kW, peak torque of 330N-m, matched with a 6-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, WLTC pure electric range of 46km, support for intelligent switching of hybrid modes and fast-charging recharge, and a combined fuel consumption as low as 1.4L/100km.
Intelligent Interaction and Driving Assistance
Equipped with a 12-inch floating center control screen + 10.25-inch full LCD instrumentation, built-in IQ.Connectivity car system, supporting wireless CarPlay, Huawei HiCar connectivity and L2 level intelligent driving functions. Drive assist system, including ACC adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, pre-collision safety and auto-parking, is standard on all models.
Safety and Comfort
The body is made of high-strength steel, the battery pack has passed 169 safety tests, and it is equipped with three-zone automatic air conditioning, heated front seats and a power tailgate. Equipped with Clean Air 3.0 air purification system and 30-color ambient lighting to enhance the cabin comfort experience.

The 2024 Tangue GTE Plug-In Hybrid features the 280TSI Luxury Plus Advance as the core model, with a standard panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats and an external discharge function (2.2kW) to support camping power needs. Compared to the 2023 model, the new intelligent voice continuous dialog and OTA remote upgrade function are added, and the smoothness of car-machine interaction is improved by 30%.
