By 2026, it will fully enter the "Electrification 2.0" era, leveraging its dedicated MEB electric platform and CEA electronic and electrical architecture to achieve forward development and intelligent upgrades for both pure electric and plug-in hybrid models. All models will come standard with the IQ.DRIVE advanced driver assistance system, a 12.9-inch central touchscreen, HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit connectivity, OTA full vehicle upgrades, and 800V high-voltage fast charging technology, creating a "technology-driven, practical" electric experience for the masses. In the Chinese market, the brand has completed its strategic layout of the ID series and ePro series operating in parallel.
Currently available electric and plug-in hybrid models include:
ID.3: A compact pure electric sedan built on the MEB platform, with a wheelbase of 2765mm, a CLTC range of 450km, and equipped with a 125kW permanent magnet synchronous motor and the L2+ level IQ.DRIVE driver assistance system. It defines a new standard for urban commuting with its minimalist interior and agile handling.
ID.4 CROZZ / ID.4 X: Compact all-electric SUVs with a CLTC range of up to 550km. Features a 12.9-inch central control screen and matrix LED headlights. A flat floor design expands storage space. Supports intelligent voice interaction and smartphone connectivity, catering to both family travel and daily practicality.
ID.6 CROZZ / ID.6 X: Seven-seater all-electric SUVs with a CLTC range of 588km. Standard features include a panoramic sunroof, heated and massaging rear seats, and an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD). Flexible space layout accommodates multi-generational family travel needs.
ID.7 VIZZION: Mid-to-large-sized all-electric sedan with a hatchback design and a CLTC range of up to 642km. Equipped with a 12.9-inch curved central control screen and intelligent ambient lighting system, it supports 5G vehicle connectivity and an AI voice assistant, redefining the technological benchmark for joint-venture electric sedans.
ID. Buzz: A classic retro-styled all-electric MPV with a 7-seat layout. It boasts a CLTC range of over 500km, supports 380kW super-fast charging, and features a variable lighting system and immersive audio, creating a new concept of "mobile living space."
Tiguan L ePro: A mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV, equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine and an 85kW electric motor, delivering a combined system power of 155kW. It offers a WLTC all-electric range of approximately 100km and a CLTC range exceeding 1300km, balancing zero emissions in urban areas with anxiety-free long-distance travel.
Passat ePro: A mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan, retaining the business-oriented feel of its gasoline-powered counterpart. It features an EA211 1.4T engine and an 85kW electric motor, offering a WLTC all-electric range of approximately 100km. It supports intelligent energy recovery and multi-mode driving switching, making it suitable for business commutes and family use.
ID. ERA 9X: Volkswagen's first global flagship extended-range SUV in the 9 Series, equipped with a 1.5T range extender and a 65.2kWh ternary lithium battery, offering a WLTC pure electric range of over 400km. It features the Momenta advanced intelligent driving system and a 35.4-inch panoramic screen, defining a new height for intelligent electric flagships among joint venture brands.
Touareg eHybrid: An imported high-performance plug-in hybrid SUV, equipped with a 3.0T V6 turbocharged engine and a 140kW electric motor, delivering a combined system output of 462 horsepower. It offers a WLTC pure electric range of approximately 80km, standard air suspension and a four-wheel drive system, combining off-road performance with electric quietness.
