The 378th batch of new car catalog information of BYD Yangwang U8L reported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the car has been officially released at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show and is scheduled to be officially launched in the second half of this year. The application information shows that it will launch a mysterious new color model, which may be launched at the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show.
Yangwang U8L has a body size of 5400×2049×1921mm, a wheelbase of 3250mm, which is 200mm longer than the current U8 wheelbase, and the rear overhang is increased by 172mm. The new car continues the "tripod" front face design, but upgrades the body-colored wheel eyebrows and the suspended 24K gold Oracle logo. The rear end cancels the external spare tire and adopts the world door tailgate structure.
Adopting a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, standard configuration:
Electric side steps and carbon ceramic brake discs;
23-inch eight-hole forged wheels (tire width 285mm);
Up and down electric tailgate (load-bearing 200kg);
Optional parts include two-tone body, Lingyuan vehicle-mounted drone system and cold-brewed Longjing tea set and other Chinese luxury configurations.
The power uses the extended-range system of U8 (2.0T+four motors), with a total power of 880kW and a torque of 1280N·m. It is equipped with Yunnian-P hydraulic suspension and easy four-way parking technology. Intelligent driving is equipped with the "Eye of God" three-laser radar solution, supporting urban NOA and extreme road conditions floating mode.
It is planned to be delivered in the second half of 2025, with a starting price of more than 1.1 million yuan, and is positioned in the full-size executive luxury SUV market.
