On September 4th, BYD Yangwang Auto's official Weibo account announced that the Yangwang U8L Dingshi Edition, a full-size executive luxury SUV, will officially launch on September 12th. The delivery countdown for this full-size executive luxury SUV, with a pre-sale price of RMB 1.3 million, has begun. The new model previously debuted its interior at the Chengdu Auto Show. With an exceptionally long 5.4-meter body, a 3250mm wheelbase, and six first-class seating, it redefines the standard of luxury travel in China.
The Yangwang U8L Dingshi Edition is centered around the symbol "Ding." Its front fascia features a dot-matrix grille composed of 99 diamond-shaped light beads, complemented by a 24K gold-forged Oracle-bone script "electricity" logo. Its Obsidian Black exterior and Sun Gold/Prominence Gold two-tone color scheme exude a distinguished aura. The vehicle measures 5400 x 2049 x 1921 mm, a 200 mm longer wheelbase than the standard model. The external spare tire is replaced with a skylight-style tailgate, and the 23-inch eight-hole forged wheels balance lightweight design with low drag.
The interior features a two-tone black-brown and purple-gray color scheme. The center console features a centrally symmetrical layout and integrates a 23.6-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch central control screen, and a 23.6-inch passenger entertainment screen. The rare teak wood veneer, hand-polished through 27 steps, complements the Nappa leather seats, suede headliner, and natural wool floor mats. The details embody the aesthetics of the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.
The passenger compartment boasts a volume of 5.3m³, featuring a 2+2+2 six-seat layout.
Dual zero-gravity seats in the second row: Supporting three modes: reclining for movie watching, one-touch reclining, and fully flat seating, equipped with an 18-point hot stone massage system and powered leg rests.
Equal access across all three rows: For the first time, the third row features heated and power-adjustable backrests.

As BYD's strategic model for entering the million-dollar luxury car market, the Yangwang U8L Dingshi Edition directly competes with established powerhouses like the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the Land Rover Range Rover Extended Edition. Its triple differentiation of "premium space, oriental luxury, and ultimate performance" fills a gap in the ultra-luxury six-seater SUV market for domestic brands. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the vehicle has passed rigorous safety crash tests and boasts a 30% increase in body rigidity compared to European standards.
With the September 12th launch date approaching, the first batch of deliveries will begin simultaneously.
