On June 18, Leapmotor announced that the 2026 C16 was officially launched, with a total of 8 models, priced between RMB 151,800 and RMB 181,800. As an annual facelift model, the C16 has three core upgrades: "comfort advancement, endurance advancement, and intelligence advancement", becoming the first medium-to-large SUV with standard laser radar within RMB 200,000. It is known as the "half-price Lixiang" smart family car in the industry.
The new Leapmotor C16 has a 5/6-seat dual layout and is fully equipped with luxury. The biggest highlight is the addition of a 5-seat version with a trunk volume of 1,663L and support for an electric one-button bed mode; the 6-seat version optimizes the leg/head space of the three rows by 20mm each, widens the central channel of the second row to 190mm, and adds a lateral sliding function.
The entire series is upgraded with Nappa leather seats, 10-point massage for the first and second rows, 155° tilt adjustment, and an 8.1L car refrigerator and a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen, forming a complete ecosystem of "refrigerator, color TV, and large sofa".
The chassis has added FSD variable damping suspension + LMC tire puncture stability system, which greatly improves the driving quality.
The entire series of Leapmotor C16 is equipped with laser radar and Qualcomm 8650 chip as standard, equipped with 128-line laser radar and 30 intelligent driving sensors, with a computing power increased by 240% compared with the previous generation, supporting 27 functions such as high-speed/city NAP pilot assistance and memory parking. The cockpit uses Qualcomm 8295 chip + Leap 4.0Plus system, with a new 3D dynamic interface and dual AI voice model, and the rear ceiling screen supports multi-platform audio and video APP linkage.
