Lixiang Automobile CEO Lixiang confirmed today through Weibo that the brand's first pure electric SUV Lixiang i8 will be officially released in late July 2025, and the production, training and delivery systems have entered the final preparation stage. Along with the official announcement, there is also a dynamic video of the real car without camouflage, showing its family design language that integrates MEGA and L series.
According to the information reported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Lixiang i8 is positioned as a medium-to-large pure electric SUV, with a body size of 5085×1960×1740mm, a wheelbase of 3050mm, and a three-row 6-seat layout. In terms of power, the whole series is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system as standard, with a total power of 400kW (front 150kW + rear 250kW), a maximum speed of 180km/h, equipped with 5C ternary lithium batteries and providing two capacities of 90kWh/98kWh, corresponding to CLTC range of 670km/720km, power consumption of only 13.4kWh per 100km, and support 10 minutes of fast charging to replenish 500km.
The new car will be equipped with Hesai ATL customized laser radar, air suspension, dual screen and AR-HUD head-up display, and will debut the Lixiang VLA large model intelligent driving system to build an "AES+AEB" active safety system. Its supercharging network layout is accelerating simultaneously, and the number of 5C supercharging stations nationwide will exceed 2,500 by July.
As the first product of Lixiang's pure electric product line, i8 enters the 300,000-500,000 yuan market as a "family technology flagship", forming differentiated competition with Xiaomi YU7 released at the same time. Lixiang emphasizes that the cumulative test mileage of the car has exceeded 9.5 million kilometers, and promises to achieve the best user experience upon delivery.
