Porsche launched the 2026 Taycan Black Edition series globally on July 10, redefining luxury electric sports cars with an all-black design language and a WLTP range of 668 kilometers. The series includes sedan versions (coupe/station wagon) and Cayenne versions (classic SUV/SUV Coupé), and will start delivery in the second half of the year after its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
Exterior: The entire series is equipped with the Sport Design kit as standard, and the window trim, tail logo and through-type taillights are all treated with high-gloss black, with exclusive black exterior mirrors and "blackened" Porsche Logo. Five free colors such as Obsidian Metallic Paint are provided, and Paint to Sample customization is supported.
Interior: The pure black kit covers the seats and trim panels, the luminous aluminum alloy door sill trim is inlaid with the "Black Edition" logo, and the storage kit improves practicality.
Battery system: standard 105kWh large-capacity battery pack, supports 320kW ultra-fast charging, standard coupe has a maximum horsepower of 435, and WLTP range of 668 kilometers.
Driving experience: optional Porsche Active Ride system, track mode with four-wheel torque distribution technology, retaining Porsche's classic driving texture.
As the core model of Porsche's electrification strategy, Taycan Black Edition starts at about 650,000 yuan (Cayenne version), directly targeting Tesla Model S Plaid and BENZ EQS AMG. Its endurance performance is 12% higher than the current Taycan Turbo, and its charging efficiency maintains the 800V architecture advantage.
The Black Edition series not only continues Porsche's sports genes, but also enhances the visual impact with an all-black design, and may become the most recognizable performance symbol in the electric era. With the launch of models such as the pure electric Cayenne, Porsche's electric product line has formed a complete matrix.
