Recently, photos of the next-generation AUDI Q3 Sportback coupe SUV have surfaced. This luxury compact SUV, blending sporty aesthetics with practicality, is about to undergo a comprehensive upgrade. According to information filed with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and overseas media reports, the new model boasts significant improvements in exterior design, technological features, and powertrain, and will also offer plug-in hybrid powertrain. It is expected to be officially launched in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The new-generation AUDI Q3 Sportback continues the AUDI brand's latest family design language while enhancing its sporty character as a coupe SUV:
Front: Featuring the signature octagonal grille with large apertures, it is paired with split headlights and digital matrix LED headlights. The daytime running lights are positioned above the bumper, while the main lights are recessed into a darkened area, creating a more aggressive visual effect.
Side Profile: The roofline slopes down noticeably from the A-pillar, 29 mm (1.1 inches) lower than the standard Q3, creating a classic fastback silhouette. The plug-in hybrid model features a charging port on the left front fender.
Rear Design: The Q3 features a through-type taillight cluster with a double-layered design, a hidden exhaust system, and a through-type black mesh rear bumper and lower diffuser, creating a sporty look.
Wheel Options: 18-inch rims are standard, with 19-inch and 20-inch rims available as options to meet the personalized needs of different customers.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new Q3 measures 4516mm in length, 1843mm in width, and 1569mm in height, respectively. Its wheelbase remains at 2680mm, making it shorter and taller than the standard Q3.
The new-generation Q3 Sportback's interior features AUDI's latest wraparound design language, significantly enhancing its sense of technology and luxury:
Dual Screen System: Equipped with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen, it features Android Automotive OS and an AI voice assistant with natural language recognition.
Innovative Controls: A new integrated steering column stalk offers multi-function controls via toggle, push, and knob. The left side integrates lighting and wiper functions, while the right side houses the gearshift area.

All gasoline-powered versions are mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, while high-end models feature an upgraded quattro all-wheel drive system with dynamic torque distribution between the front and rear axles from 0-100%.

The TFSI 110 kW version and the e-hybrid 200 kW version start at €46,450 and €51,150 (approximately RMB 427,000), respectively. Based on the pricing strategy of the current domestically produced Q3 Sportback, the starting price of the new generation model is expected to remain around 280,000 RMB, with the top-of-the-line four-wheel drive version potentially exceeding 360,000 RMB.
With growing demand among young consumers for personalized vehicles, sales of fastback models in the domestic market have increased by 18% year-on-year. With its sporty design, advanced technology, and diverse powertrain options, the new generation Q3 Sportback is expected to occupy a prominent position in the luxury compact coupe SUV segment. It is reported that the new model is expected to be launched in China in the fourth quarter of 2025, directly competing with models such as the BMW X2 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
