The BYD Formula Leopard brand will hold its autumn product launch event on October 20th, 2025, officially unveiling the Leopard 5 Long-Range Edition and the Leopard 8 Five-Seater Edition. Both models are built on the BYD DMO super hybrid platform, with "long range + strong performance + intelligent off-road" as their core selling points, further expanding the market for new energy hardcore SUVs.

Smart Cockpit: Equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K center console display and a 12.3-inch passenger entertainment screen, it features an 18-speaker Devialet sound system, and retains physical buttons for enhanced operational convenience.
Power: 1.5T engine with dual electric motors, delivering a combined power of 505kW and torque of 760Nm, with a 0-600km/h acceleration of 4.8 seconds. CLTC pure electric range is 125km, with a combined range of up to 1200km. Fuel consumption is only 5.9L/100km (two-wheel drive version).
Off-road Technology: The Yunnian-P intelligent hydraulic suspension supports four-wheel linkage and is equipped with the "Eye of God" advanced intelligent driving system, ensuring vehicle stability in complex road conditions.
Upgraded space: Length is 5195mm, wheelbase is 2920mm, and the removal of the third row significantly increases trunk expandability, making it more suitable for long-distance cross-country travel.
Interior: Aviation-grade seats with ventilation, heating, and massage function, wood grain trim and metal buttons create a luxurious feel, and a new exclusive "Tamo Mi" color scheme is available.
Fierce Power: 2.0T high-power engine + three electric motors, combined output 550kW/760N·m, 0-100km acceleration in 4.8 seconds; supports "violent mode" for enhanced road grip.
Technical Highlights: CTC battery-chassis integration + heat pump direct cooling technology, WLTC pure electric range of 100km, and electric fuel consumption of 8.87L/100km.
Leopard 5 Long-Range Edition (estimated price RMB 300,000-350,000): Directly targeting traditional fuel-powered off-road vehicles such as the Toyota Prado, it distinguishes itself with low fuel consumption and intelligent features.
Leopard 8 Five-Seater Edition (estimated price RMB 400,000+): Aiming to compete with the Landrover Defender 110, it leverages the technological advantages of the DMO platform to differentiate itself with its five-seater space.
