On May 28, 2025, BMW officially launched the flagship version of the i4 pure electric sedan - i4 M60. With a maximum power of 593 horsepower and an acceleration performance of 100 km/s in 3.7 seconds, this model has become the performance leader under the brand's electrification strategy. The new car starts at 70,910 pounds, with a power increase of 56 horsepower and an acceleration performance increase of 0.2 seconds compared to the previous generation i4 M50.
Power system: equipped with upgraded dual motors, maximum power of 593 horsepower (601 metric horsepower/442 kilowatts), peak torque maintained at 795 Nm, zero-to-hundred acceleration of 3.7 seconds
Endurance optimization: The entire series uses silicon carbide semiconductor technology, energy consumption is reduced by 4.5%, and the eDrive40 model has a range of 510 kilometers
Technical configuration: standard M aerodynamic components, blue brake calipers and exclusive exterior decoration, continuing the fastback design language of i4 M50
The body size remains 4785×1852×1455mm (wheelbase 2856mm), with new sports surrounds and carbon fiber trims, and standard 19-inch M exclusive wheels. The interior continues the curved dual-screen design (12.3-inch instrument + 14.9-inch central control), equipped with iDrive 8 system and M three-color steering wheel stitching.
As the flagship of BMW electric performance, i4 M60 directly competes with the fuel-powered M4 CS, with a power of 53 horsepower more than the latter. The comfort configurations of the 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupé are also upgraded simultaneously. The current domestic i4 M50 has a guide price of 549,900 yuan, and it is expected that the price will rise further after the introduction of the M60 version.
