Zhang Zhuo, general manager of BYD Ocean Network Sales Division, officially announced the official pictures of Sea Lion 06 on June 23. The new car is positioned as a mid-size SUV, providing pure electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (DM-i) dual-power versions. It is expected to be launched at the end of July, with a price range of 160,000-200,000 RMB.
Appearance: closed front face with split headlight group, front surround adopts double-layer air intake design, and pure electric version is equipped with active air intake grille. The side is enhanced by the floating roof and the through waistline to enhance the layering, and the tail ring light strip and the inverted trapezoidal license plate frame form recognition.
Dimensions: length, width and height 4810×1920×1675mm, wheelbase 2820mm, surpassing the same level of competitors such as Deep Blue S07 (wheelbase 2900mm), and the rear legroom is 890mm.
Interior: Equipped with embedded full LCD instrument + floating central control screen, equipped with cold and warm refrigerator, mobile phone wireless charging and hand-held gear shift mechanism.
DM-i hybrid version: 1.5L engine (74kW) + 160kW motor, matched with 18.316kWh/26.593kWh battery, pure electric endurance 93km/130km (WLTC).
Pure electric version: two-wheel drive version motor power 170kW/180kW, four-wheel drive version front and rear motor 110kW+180kW; battery provides 65.28kWh/78.72kWh options, CLTC endurance up to 605km, support 240kW fast charging (10 minutes to replenish 230km).
The new car may be equipped with the advanced intelligent driving solution of the Eye of God C, equipped with 29 sensors (including a front-view three-eye camera), and its competitive products include Leapmotor C10 and Haval Xiaolong MAX. As the launch in July approaches, the Ocean Network product matrix will further enhance BYD's competitiveness in the medium-sized new energy SUV market.
