BYD Ocean Series new mid-size SUV Sealion 06 has been confirmed to be officially launched on July 24, 2025. The new car will simultaneously launch the DM-i plug-in hybrid version and the EV pure electric version, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 160,000-200,000. As a strategic model built on the fifth-generation DM technology and e-platform 3.0 Evo, Sealion 06 enters the mainstream family market with the "all-round top flow" positioning, and its competitors are directly targeting popular models such as Leapmotor C10 and Deep Blue S07.
The new car adopts a closed front face and split headlight design, with smooth and simple body lines, and a floating roof and an ultra-long wheelbase of 2820mm to create a calm temperament of a mid-size SUV. The body size of 4810×1920×1675mm brings the ultimate space performance: the regular trunk volume is 757L (expandable to 1630L by folding the rear seats), and the EV version is equipped with a rare 142L front trunk in the same class, which can realize the storage of fresh food and sundries. The interior continues the marine aesthetic style, equipped with a 15.6-inch rotating Pad, Dynaudio audio and a wide temperature range refrigerator, and the co-pilot area adopts an embracing color matching design.
DM-i model: equipped with a 1.5L engine (74kW) + 160kW motor, providing two pure electric endurance versions of 93km/130km, and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is as low as 1.1L.
EV model: The maximum power of the two-wheel drive version is 180kW, the comprehensive power of the four-wheel drive version is 290kW, the CLTC endurance is up to 605km, and supports half-hour DC fast charging.
The entire series is equipped with Yunnian-C intelligent damping system and DiPilot 100 high-level intelligent driving as standard, including high-speed navigation, intelligent parking assistance and other functions, and promises a full-coverage policy for intelligent parking.
Sealion 06 accurately hits the core needs of family users for "large space + low energy consumption" through cross-level space, dual power coverage and a starting price of 160,000 yuan.
