On September 12th, BYD announced the launch of the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i on September 15th. The car has been arriving in dealerships and was unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 29th.
The new car features a closed front fascia, eliminating the current horizontal grille. The headlights are simplified to a three-in-one integrated light strip, complemented by an X-shaped front apron. The dimensions have been slightly adjusted to 4995×1900×1495mm (wheelbase 2900mm), and four new colors, including Cloud Sea Gray, have been added. The top-of-the-line model features a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and a small blue driver assistance light.
Optimized Layout: The hand-operated gear shifter frees up center console space, and the center console features a 50W wireless charging panel and dual cup holders.
Comfort Features: The only vehicle in its class equipped with front and rear seat ventilation and heating, plus an in-car refrigerator with heating and cooling.
Interactive Innovation: The first vehicle to feature a cute pet-themed design, and the 15.6-inch rotating screen integrates the DiLink 100 system.
Powertrain: 1.5T plug-in hybrid system (115kW engine + 200kW electric motor), 0-100 km acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
Range: CLTC pure electric range of 230km (battery capacity 29.462kWh), fuel consumption 3.2L/100km when depleted.
Chassis Technology: Yunnian-C intelligent damping system + front McPherson and rear five-link suspension.
The LiDAR version supports the City No-Acceleration (NOA) function and is equipped with 12 airbags and TSC (Typhoon Stability Control). Compared to the current Tianshen Zhiyan C, it adds automatic parking and complex road navigation capabilities.
With a pre-sale price of 160,000-200,000 yuan, it competes directly with models such as the Geely Galaxy Xingyao 8 and the LYNK&CO 07 EM-P. Current monthly sales are approximately 3,000 units, and the facelifted model is expected to reach sales of over 5,000.
