On January 20th, the 2026 GAC Toyota bZ7 was confirmed to officially launch in March of this year. The Toyota bZ7 is a milestone in Toyota's electrification strategy. As Toyota's first deeply localized D-segment pure electric sedan in the Chinese market, fully integrated with China's technological ecosystem, the bZ7, with its disruptive positioning of "D-segment experience at a 200,000 RMB price point," directly targets the mid-to-high-end pure electric sedan market, becoming another core product in Toyota's electric transformation in China after the bZ3X.
On the evening of December 31st, FAW TOYOTA's first "smart electric sedan," the bZ3 Smart Home Edition, was officially launched. It includes four models: JOY, PRO, PRO+, and MAX, priced at 109,800 RMB, 129,800 RMB, 139,800 RMB, and 159,800 RMB respectively.
Against the background of strong regulatory policies for intelligent connected vehicles, GAC Toyota Bozhi 3X officially pushed its first OTA upgrade on June 30. As the first model developed by a Chinese team under Toyota's RCE system, bZ5 redefines the competition standards of joint venture electric vehicles with its "five-dimensional core value".
On June 10, 2025, FAW Toyota will officially launch the medium-sized pure electric coupe SUV bZ5. The new car will be pre-sold at RMB 130,000-160,000. It will use BYD blade batteries and Toyota's intelligent driving system to impact the 150,000-class car market.
On May 14, 2025, Toyota officially released the bZ4X major facelift model in North America. The new car was renamed "Toyota bZ", and it was comprehensively upgraded in terms of appearance, performance and endurance, trying to reverse the market controversy of the old model.
