Against the background of strong regulatory policies for intelligent connected vehicles, GAC Toyota Bozhi 3X officially pushed its first OTA upgrade on June 30. This update takes Huawei HiCar's interconnection function as the core, and simultaneously optimizes the intelligent driving system and interactive experience, becoming a typical case of traditional car companies responding to the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Management of Access, Recall and Online Software Upgrade of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Products" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
Deep integration of Huawei HiCar technology: The cockpit platform based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip realizes seamless flow of Harmony applications and supports calling vehicle GPS, audio and other hardware resources. The system promises to iterate synchronously with Huawei mobile phone versions to solve the pain point of delayed updates of traditional car machines. Apple CarPlay adaptation is expected to be launched later.
Driving assistance system optimization: Momenta flywheel large model completes algorithm iteration, focusing on improving the ability to recognize complex road conditions in urban areas, and adding practical functions such as automatic ETC. LiDAR and 254TOPS computing power hardware reserve expansion space for high-end intelligent driving.
Human-computer interaction upgrade: 5 voice control functions such as the driver's wake-up mode and voice query tire pressure are added, and the parking system enhances the recognition accuracy of thin pole obstacles.
Hardware configuration: The whole series is equipped with a 14.6-inch central control screen + 8.8-inch LCD instrument as standard, and the high-end version is equipped with NVIDIA Orin X chip (254TOPS computing power) and 27 sensor matrices.
Three-electric system: using Nidec drive motor, providing 150kW/165kW two power, the endurance covers 430km/520km/610km three gears, and supports 3.3kW external discharge.
Market performance: orders exceeded 10,000 in the first hour of listing, cumulative sales reached 20,000 units, and 4,344 units were delivered in May.
This upgrade strictly follows the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China for OTA classification filing, and separates the declaration of function updates and parameter changes. The introduction of Huawei HiCar marks the transition of traditional car companies from closed systems to open ecosystems. Its "hardware community" concept realizes the coordinated calling of mobile phone NPU computing power and vehicle hardware.
GAC Toyota Engineering Manager said: "On the premise of ensuring compliance with L2 driving assistance supervision requirements, we quickly make up for the shortcomings of intelligence through third-party technical cooperation." At present, the car has established a complete system function boundary description and safety response mechanism.
