On August 22, 2025, AITO Auto officially announced the AITO M5 Ultra's annual limited edition color, Leaping Shadow Red. This color will be available in all stores nationwide on August 25th. As a key model for Hongmeng Intelligent Driving in 2025, the new car, while retaining its original starting price of RMB 229,800, has been upgraded in five key areas: design, intelligent driving, and control, further strengthening its market competitiveness.
The new AITO M5 Ultra utilizes a luxury-class 3C2B paint process, which undergoes 95 steps to create a dynamic metallic finish. Paired with the optional Obsidian Sport Package (including 20-inch wheels, red calipers, and smoked black trim), the car's sporty character is significantly enhanced. The interior features a new Red Tea Orange color scheme and a cute kitten theme. The passenger seat has been upgraded with a 70-degree electric leg rest, creating a luxurious and practical cabin.
The entire model is standard equipped with Huawei's ADS 3.3 advanced intelligent driving system, equipped with a 192-line laser radar and a 4D millimeter-wave radar, supporting intelligent driving on roads nationwide without HD maps. New features include VPD parking assistant (beta) and automatic parking in mechanical parking spaces, increasing the parking success rate in complex scenarios to 98%.
The new AITO M5 Ultra features a four-ball double wishbone all-aluminum chassis, achieving a Moose Test score of 79 km/h. Combined with HUAWEI DATS dynamic torque regulation, lateral acceleration in corners is increased to 0.65G. A new comfort braking function improves braking smoothness by 81%, effectively alleviating motion sickness.
The extended-range version has a combined CLTC range of up to 1,440 km (rear-wheel drive), while the all-electric version has a range of 602 km. The all-wheel drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and supports dual 50W wireless fast charging and 100W wired fast charging.
New features include eAES Automatic Emergency Steering (up to 135 km/h braking and yielding), lane departure warning with vibration, and rain and fog detection accuracy improved by 40%. The battery has passed 16 rigorous tests, including needle puncture and crush tests.
