On September 20, 2025, NIO officially launched the all-new 2026 ES8 at NIO Day 2025 in Hangzhou, positioning it as a flagship all-scenario technology SUV. On September 10, 2025, NIO officially announced that dynamic test drives of the all-new (2026 model) ES8 will begin in 152 cities across China, at over 500 stores and showrooms. As the flagship pure electric SUV built on the NT3.0 platform, the new car will be officially launched and deliveries will begin on September 20th at the NIO Day event at the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center. On June 3, NIO President Qin Lihong confirmed at the Shanghai Auto Show that its third brand Firefly (Firefly) will launch a right-hand drive model to enter the UK market before October 2025.
